CHARLESLAWLOGONEW

I am Charles Hart, Esq.  Thank you for visiting my website, I hope to talk with you soon about your legal matter.  My firm and I handle cases in Seminole County, Volusia County, Orange County, and Lake County, and the following cities: Sanford, Longwood, Lake Mary, Heathrow, Altamonte Springs, Casselberry, Oviedo, Goldenrod, Fern Park, Forest City, Midway, Geneva, Chuluota, Winter Springs, Wekiva Springs, Deland, Deltona, Orange City, Debary, Lake Helen, Daytona, Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach, Deleon Springs, Orlando, Apopka, Maitland, Lockhart, Azalea Park, Winter Park, Mount Dora, Tavares, and Eustis.

In August 2008, I opened the doors of my law firm, Charles C. Hart II, P.A. and have been serving my fellow citizens and residents of Central Florida ever since.  Since that date, I have focused my life and practice as an attorney on providing affordable, effective, and tenacious legal services representing clients in countless matters in Seminole, Volusia, Brevard, Orange, Lake, Osceola, Polk, and Flagler Counties.

I’m the only attorney that works at my firm, I know and meet with each of my clients personally, and I am the attorney at your side when you go to court.  I offer you the personal bond that many professionals have lost in our technological age; my bond and my work is living not automated, handmade not machined tooled, and personal to you not generalized to fit all.

As a result as an attorney, I believe in ten simple things:

  1. I want to listen to what you have to say; you know the facts of your case better than anyone else because you are living the problem and I want to listen to you so I can learn the facts of your case that we will use to fix your problem;
  2. Court and trial can be frightening and is probably one of the most invasive things you can possibly imagine; when you go to court and trial it is not television, you are sitting there listening when the opposing attorney, witnesses, and even the judge, says something maybe negative about you; if you are in a jury trial, the jurors are looking at you; if you lose, it is not an imaginary person that lost, it’s you;
  3. Because this legal matter will have far reaching effects on your life, you need to make a careful and deliberate decision on who you want to be your attorney in your case so you can trust that person with your life;
  4. Before the case is over, you need to be satisfied and feel like you have done everything that could have been done for your case and during your representation;
  5. When the case is over, you need to be able to live with the outcome win or lose;
  6. At times, the best attorney is the attorney who can achieve your goals without court and trial;
  7. Discretion is the better part of valor, but if you have to fight, you fight with everything you have;
  8. Despite whatever fear you may have, you still have a great chance here, but bear in mind, you can lose it all if you’re not careful;
  9. Governments don’t live together, people live together; and
  10. All things being equal, and while I really enjoy being an attorney, I wish you did not have to use my services.

As for me, I am a former prosecutor having served the people of the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit’s State Attorney’s Office.  After my service as a prosecutor ended, I served as an attorney with the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel 5th District from 2008 until 2012.  As one might expect, in my time as an attorney, I have tried both civil and criminal trials; drafted appeals; handled countless of simple and complex motions; and represented clients in front of almost every judge in Seminole, Volusia, Brevard, Orange, Lake, and Osceola Counties.  I have handled almost every type of criminal matter ranging from civil traffic infractions to murder cases.  As a civil litigator, I have handled cases ranging from an 8 day civil trial to simple court appearances to negotiate debts with creditors.

I am an active member of various professional and community organizations that include or have included:

  • Former Board Member, Volie N. Williams Inns of Court;
  • Former Board Member, Seminole County Bar Association;
  • Commissioner, Seminole Housing Authority;
    • Appointed by Governor Charlie Crist and reappointed by Governor Rick Scott;
  • Seminole Breakfast Rotary Club;
  • Former Member, Florida Blue Key;
  • DeMolay;
  • Assistant Research Editor, Florida Journal of International Law;
  • Member of the Florida Bar;
  • Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers; and
  • Member of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar.

In my free time, I am an avid Gator football and basketball fan and amateur Civil War historian.  I have attended the Civil War Institute in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, traveled to most of the major battlefields of the War Between the States, and celebrated the 150th anniversaries of both the Battles of Chancellorsville and Gettysburg in 2013 on each of the respective battlefields.  In 2014, I was lucky enough to attend the Gators’ Final Four game in North Texas.
